We hope for everyone to be able to experience living in synergy with nature, whatever their budget, from the Hopi House dormitory to Villa Cashew and Villa Bamboo, which each have their own private food forest gardens and bio-pools.

Based on an earth berming concept , our Hopi House Dormitory is set into the mountains and topped with a garden roof, which combine to keep the rooms cool. Three separate rooms with two bunks each provide a cozy sleep for four people per room and twelve for the whole dwelling.

The Who house

Currently in construction

The Who House is set on stilts and nestled amidst the treetops with sunset and mountain views. It is built from reclaimed old boat wood and has an outdoor bathroom, with a roof of hanging loofah plants (which provide sponges for bathing) and a kitchenette, treetop balcony and downstairs “baruga” living space. It has a beehive of stingless bees in the tree which leave and return home at the same time everyday without many guests noticing.

The Nest

Currently in construction

The Nest is set up on stilts with mountain and tree top views. It is built in the local “rice barn” style with a palm and thatch roof. It has an outdoor bathroom with a shower surrounded by purple hanging vines, as well as a kitchen and “baruga” local style living platform nestled amidst the trees, from where many birds can be seen. The Nest has its own vegetable garden and also holds the nursery for all our seedlings

Villa Cashew

Currently in construction

Villa Cashew lies amidst the shade of cashew nut trees, with mountain and palm tree views. It has a natural bio plunge pool which is cleaned by way of plant life and a private food forest garden, which includes papayas, bananas, mangosteens, oranges, limes, chillis, mint and lemongrass. Guests are free to pick whatever they like from their garden.

 

Villa Cashew is built mostly from mud, with bamboo from the village and reclaimed old boats from nearby beaches. It is cooled passively through its mud structure and by convection, cross ventilation, correct sun and wind orientation, and the shading of its foliage.

Villa Bamboo

Villa Bamboo lies among the shade of bamboo trees with mountain and palm tree views.
